Great Stay!
Stayed at Comfort Suites for the second year in a row. A wonderful place to stay and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The free fresh made breakfast is great every day. Ambassador Divers and Stinger's Restaurant out back are wonderful assets the to property.
The resort was just like advertised. Its not a 5 star hotel but it serves
the purpose if you just use the room to sleep and freshen up. Very clean and hotel staff very helpful. Edna our daily maid was just wonderful. Our room was spotless. Free breakfast will fill you up past lunchtime. Fresh fruit and make-your-own waffles was a big hit with us. Restaurant across the street very nice. Mexican restaurant in walking distance also very good. Patio bar and dive shop by pool a plus. No problem getting a bus to anywhere. Just start walking and they beep at you to see if you need a ride. $2.50 per person American currency one way. Go to Georgetown to watch sunset. Cruise ships are usually gone by 4pm . Everything closes by 6pm. Margaritaville stays open later. We rented snorkel gear from dive shop for the day at a reasonable price. Snorkeling was excellent right at the beach hotel . We could go out pretty far and the water about chest high. Good variety of fish and coral. I suggest aqua shoes if you have them. Our overall stay at Comfort Suites is: A+++
I recommend staying here for value, convenience to surroundings and pleasure.

Great place to stay.
Excellent place to stay. Restaurant and bar on site near the pool. On 7 mile beach. Close to the white sands on the beach. Beautiful sunsets to watch every night. Rooms very clean. No noise from adjoining rooms. Would definitely stay there again.
We found this resort to be above average & enjoyed our stay immensley. Their service was good, wonderful continental breakfast ea. morning, beach (not right on the beach, but a very short walk), was beautiful, great snorkeling right there. There was also an on-site dive center, Ambassador Divers, that we went out w/several times. They were fantastic & gave such personable attention to their customers! Room was a little bit smaller than what we're used to, but then we don't sit in our room, we were out enjoying the beautiful island every day! It did have everything we needed, even came equipped w/a small "kitchenette". The grounds were beautiful, as well.
Highly recommend if you're not spoilt to extreme luxury & you just want a very nice place to stay along with a good deal, in comparison to other places!

How far of a walk is the beach from the hotel?2 answers

The beach is only a short walk from the main area of the resort. exactly how far depends on which beach you are walking to, as there are a few within walking distance.

It is around 100 yards down a sandy path to the beach from the back door of the hotel.

Room Information
The resort offers 110 guest studios and suites in a five-story gray building set back 150 feet from the beach. Each room is equipped with air-conditioning, satellite TV, voice mail and data ports, AM/FM clock radio, coffee maker, hair dryer, in-room safe, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, and iron with ironing board. Bedroom Suites include the above plus stove top, full fridge and dishwasher. Units do not include balconies or patios. All rates include Full Breakfast (scrambled eggs plus side order, waffles, wide variety of cereals, breads muffins, bagels, croissants, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee & tea). Complimentary high-speed internet access is available throughout the property.
Non-Smoking Policy: This hotel is 100% smoke-free. This includes all rooms and public areas within the hotel.
This non-smoking property is a great value and a wonderful choice for families. Full breakfast is included and the all the rooms have microwaves, toasters and mini-refrigerators. Did I also mention the property has complimentary high-speed internet?
What We'd Change
Not much! The only thing I would say is that the property isn't really beachfront, but only a short walk down a pathway to beautiful 7 mile beach.

In addition to the wide variety of restaurants, pubs, entertainment and night life that are within walking distance of Comfort Suites, guests will enjoy exploring and experiencing the beautiful public beaches and attractions in Grand Cayman. The resort is located near many popular attractions, including Boatswain's Beach Turtle Farm, home to more than 16,000 endangered green sea turtles, and Dolphin Discovery, another family favorite. Enjoy a day of swimming, scuba diving and snorkeling at Stingray City, where tame stingrays will eat right out of the hands of visitors. Transport to Stingray City and reef snorkeling adventures leave the hotel daily and can be booked through Ambassador Divers, the on-site dive operator. Pet Policy: If you and your pet are staying at the hotel, a deep cleaning charge of $150.00 USD will be automatically applied to your account to cover the cost of deep cleaning the carpets and additional deep cleaning that is necessary when having a pet stay in your guest room. The hotel will require a credit card to be on file at the front desk to cover the deep cleaning. Your pet will need to be in a crate when you are not in the guest suite. Pets are not permitted in the breakfast room and restaurant/bar area due to allergies of guests and some guests do have a fear of pets. In addition, the hotel will require that you "scoop" for your pet when in Grand Cayman.
Business travelers and leisure travelers will appreciate the added convenience of free wireless internet access in guest rooms and throughout the property and free access to the lobby computer terminal. Meeting facilities are available and can accommodate most small groups.
RESORT UPDATE, AUGUST 2011 - Comfort Suites is currently renovating and redesigning the 2 bedroom suite into a new King Studio room equipped with new soft goods, bed, TVs and more. The renovations will have some periodic noise.
