Beautiful place and people

My boyfriend and I had a great time. Everyone was really nice and the food was great. The mud bath and waterfall visit is a must. Great experience overall.

Vacation

The resort was ok, rooms were cleaned daily the food was decent. We visited two speciality restaurants during our stay. The food and service were terrible. In one restaurant we waited an hour to get our food. Aside from it tasting horrible it was also cold. We actually walked out and tried to catch the buffet before it closed that night. The food at the buffet was good, however the wait service was absolutely TERRIBLE. After being seated no one attended to us. Wait staff was observed intentionally avoiding walking to our table. One day my husband asked for a drink and it took the waiter 15minutes to bring it. So we started getting up and retrieving our own drinks and utensils. Our third day in we encountered a server that was polite, professional and accommodating. We made sure to find the manager and sing his praises. The entertainment on the resort was lackluster at best and needs tremendous improvements. After 9pm there is pretty much nothing to do. The "water park" area is just a water slide and lazy river tube. But the BIGGEST disappointment for me was the beach which was FULL of sea grass and BROWN. Traveling from the east coast I am looking for crystal blue water. Had I known that this hotel was located on the atlantic ocean side I would not have booked it. Regardless the island is beautiful and we still managed to enjoy the week. I probably would not stay at this resort again if I revisit the island.

Very good value

The first thing that stands out is the food. Best all inclusive food we ever had.All restaurants were great. We liked Silk the best. Make reservations in advance. No need to do the surcharge restaurant La Luna. It's not near a fun town. Nightlife is quiet but we were a family so that was fine. Excursions wore us put so we had late dinners followed by a few drinks and bed. The ocean is the Atlantic. They did a poor job and seaweed removal which daily accumulated on the beach. They also did a poor job of plastic cup removal at the adult pool that rude guests left around. Staff was friendly. And helpful. While it costs more I would recommend excursions through the hotel. The one taxi driver we hired for a private tour had unwanted and inappropriate discussion with our daughter that led us to end it an hour or two early. The island is beautiful. Looks like a mini Hawaii. Kayaking and snorkel equipment and paddle board were free and easy to get.. Hotel transfer need not be purchased. Coconut Bay does it for free and it's 2 miles to airport A couple that had paid for transfers ended up on our free shuttle.

coconut bay beach resort and spa

The resort it self was nice. The room was excellent we were on the fourth floor of harmony. The food and drinks were also good. now as for the entertainment and the beach, both were non existent and the water park was also a big disappointment. the service in all of the restaurants was terrible and the two specialty spots were a joke. the worst part of the whole trip was the beach. the water was brown and full of sea grass. I guess we cant blame that on the resort as that's mother natures doing but it was really bad. would I return or recommend this resort. NO, this is the second beach vacation that had a poor beach. it should be noted on what side of the sea the resort is on. Atlantic or Caribbean that way you know what your getting. brown water or beautiful blue.

Hotel Description

Coconut Bay Resort and Spa St. Lucia: Get Two Resorts in One

Nestled among swaying palms in an 85-acre enclave, Coconut Bay Beach Resort and Spa St. Lucia is really two hotels in one. One wing, called Harmony, is reserved for couples and romance. Splash is the lighthearted name for the other, which is devoted to families and home to Cocoland, St. Lucia's largest water park. All guests are treated like royalty in this all-inclusive resort featuring one mile of gorgeous beach and 4 pools at the southern end of St Lucia.

Experience cherished moments with your sweetie each day on the Harmony side of the hotel. Lying side-by-side on intimate daybeds, or sharing special moments in the adults-only pool, you and your honey can enjoy a second honeymoon. Over at the Splash part of the hotel, it's the delighted squealing of kids having fun that warms your heart, as they cascade down one the resort's two water slides. Make enduring family memories as you challenge them to paintball or explore the area to learn about the island. If you want to take a walk on the wild side, guests also have free admission to the Coco Coral Petting Zoo where they can interact with the resort's goats, ducks and sheep!

You'll want to take advantage of the cornucopia of spa treatments available at Kai Mer Spa. Couples love the Champagne and Chocolate Package, busy moms can indulge with the Seaweed Wrap restorative and the Teen's Escape massage and facial or the Island Exotica Sugar Buff exfoliating skin treatment is perfect for your teenagers.

Four restaurants are ready to assuage your hunger after a full day of fun. Rattan chairs and Chinese lanterns add an Oriental note to Silk, where you might choose fish in black-bean sauce for your main course, followed by sticky-rice pudding. When you hanker for the flavors of Caribbean cuisine, Calabash has the best jerk entrees to put the kibosh on hunger.

About a mile away visit the 17th-century French Vieux Fort, and a little farther to the south, the Vieux Fort Lighthouse. Take a short drive up the western side of the island to the widely acclaimed Diamond Falls. Then retreat to a comfortable room to get ready to do it all again tomorrow.
