GREAT TRIP
THE TRIP WAS GREAT AND THE BEST THING WE DID AND EVERYONE SHOULD TRY IT IS ZIP LINING WITH CANOPY TOURS. IM A LITTLE BIT OF A CHICKEN. BUT IT WAS VERY FUN. tHE ONLY THING ABOUT THE TRIP IS THERE IS SOME CLIMBING IF YOU ARE IN MED SHAPE NO PROBLEM BUT IF YOU ARE IN BAD SHAPE COULD BE DIFFICULT.
THE HOTEL COMPLAINT I HAD I WASNT INTERESTED IN A TIMESHARE AND TOLD THE REP THAT BUT EVERYTIME SHE SAW US SHE WOULD SAY SOME COME ON LET ME SHOW YOU MY PRESENTATION. WE STARTED USING THE BACK ENTARANCE SO WE WOULDNT HAVE TO GO THRU THRU THE LOBBY. TO AVOID THE TIMEHARE REP.
OVERALL GREAT HOTEL...
If you're looking for a taste of Mexico, go to Canto Del Sol! It is a small, intimate enviornment with availble included saiing, kayaking, snorkeling and scuba lessons. The staff takes personal interest in the clients and can't do enough for you! We were looking for Albondigas soup, and one of the staff made arrangements for her mother to make us a liter of homemade soup and it was served to us for dinner one evening. Talk about going above and beyond! Other vacationers are from a vareity of countries and you have no reason not to have folks to chat with. Security is excellent, ensuring that guests are not bothered by vendors or "gate-crashers" from the beach entrance. Food was excellent and everything was clean and "spiffy!" The grounds are well-manicured and even the gardening crew was willing to be of assistance to ensure a pleasant stay. It is close to opportunities to visit Puerto Vallarta proper, if you so choose, but there are so many available activities on site, there's really no need to leave. Language is no problem and we were always met with nothing but smiles and pleasant manners. We WILL return!

Is there shuttle service from the airport? I have already booked a vacation package.5 answers

From what I understand the hotel itself does not have a shuttle. We booked a bus with DePalm tours for $30 each person that took you from the airport to the hotel and back again to the airport. The ride is about 30 to 40 min depending on traffic.

I don't know how you are about driving during vacations, but we rented a vehicle and it made things easier to drive to places and not pay an arm and a leg in taxi fares!

Room Information
224 Standard rooms offering complete comfort and decorated with superb taste. All accommodations are air-conditioned and sport a Mexican ambience, with tile floor, white walls and ceilings, and headboards sculpted into the walls. A table and two chairs permit in-room dining. Recessed, mirrored vanities are outside the bathrooms; tub/shower combinations are inside. There is also a color TV with cable, telephone and in-room safe($). Hair dryers and irons and ironing boards are available on request. Children up to 6 years old are free (Maximum 2 children 0-6 with 2 adults).
This is one of the best "bang-for-the-buck" resorts you'll find, thanks to all inclusive dining, a fabulous beach, great pool and friendly service.

The guest rooms could be a little larger, but with the countless amenities and things to do, you're not going to be in your room very much.

Guests of Canto Del Sol, Puerto Vallarta can lounge on the warm sands of Banderas Bay with complimentary, shaded palapas, lounge chairs and towels. And while you laze the day away, more energetic visitors can take to the seas on a kayak, windsurfing rig or boogie board, or take it to the next level on a jet ski. If you haven't got your sea legs, the resort features a large, free-form pool. Completely separate from (though connected to) the kid's pool, this inviting body of water helps complete your meditative state with a full pool bar, a brick deck and a terrace above the beach with plenty of loungers. Drinks and snacks are available poolside, courtesy of Los Peces and Aquabar, or you can happily tread that cool water all the way to El Papagayo swim-up bar.
