Cabo Villas Beach Resort
This is the place to stay if you want to be right on a swimable beach. Medano Beach is the best beach in Cabo it is safe to swim. It also has the most activity and very close to town an easy walk. If you want peace and quite while you lay at the beach and you don't want to swim this is not the place for you. Many Venders at the beach as well as two well known high energy bars. The resort is clean and our studio room was nice for two. There are 3 pools at the resort but all 3 are very small and one has a swim up bar. The food at resort is expensive we ate breakfast there only once $40. for 2 bloody mary's and two order 's of pancakes. OUCH!! Go to City Club they will give you a 1 day pass to buy supplies for your room it is easy to walk to. Many nice restaurant's in walking distance. This resort has many stairs. Our friends stayed next door at Casa Dorada I like the lay out of that resort much better.
This hotel was beautiful, clean, and the service was outstanding. The only negative that I would give would be the high price of food. If you are planning to go to Cabo, this hotel would definitely be worth your time.
very nice up scale resort, but... had trouble with transportation. found that food at resort to be spendy and very small portions for what you paid for it. Most staff very nice.

Good spot for partying
Cabo Villas and Casa Dorado share the heart of Playa Medano, arguably the best beach for swimming/jet skiing/sailing/snorkeling/whale watching in Cabo. Both these hotels are adjacent all of the beach front restaurants, which can be rocking loud until 3/4am, and packed with tourists. Good in that you can always eat when you want, at a variety of restaurants, and do any beach activities you are interested in. Not so good in the fact that there are always tons of people milling around the beach there. If you want to party this is the spot. If you want to listen to the sound of the ocean when you're going to sleep, Playa Bonita looked like a nice hotel a hundred yards further down the beach and much more quiet. There is a Walmart just inland from the end Medano beach, and $1/person busses run there all day/night.
Cabo Villas is a plush hotel with decent, though spendy food. Service is excellent, though the staff can be very pushy trying to sell you a timeshare (timeshares comprise half the hotel complex). Cabo is Mexico the way Vegas is USA--everything is business.
Rent a car(online beforehand or pay $50-$90/day!) and drive an hour north to the National Park Cabo Pulmo, snorkeling at Las Arbolitas. Highlight of the trip but very rural compared to Cabo so bring food and water.

Hotel Description
Stunning Views at Cabo Villas Beach Resort & Spa
What do you get when you mix stunning views, luxurious surroundings, sizzling nightlife and the safest and most popular swimming beach in Los Cabos? Cabo Villas Beach Resort & Spa, of course! This extraordinary hotel on the silky sands of Medano Beach is an easy walk to everything important in Cabo San Lucas, from nightclubs and cafes to shopping. Even the marina is just blocks away.
A strong riptide makes swimming at many other Los Cabos beaches dangerous, but the two-mile stretch known as Medano Beach has gentle, swimmer-friendly waters. But even though the surf is mild, this is not Grandma's beach! The bay is alive with the roar of Jet Skis and motorboats, and colorful parasails zip past overhead. On the beach, the party never seems to end. Like the nightclubs downtown, Playa Medano is where the action is.
All that action is a surefire way to work up an appetite, and nothing fills the belly like meat and beer. Why not have both? Sizzling skewers of arrachera, or flank steak, go down better with one of the eight hand-crafted artisanal beers at Baja Brewing Company, the first brewery in southern Baja California. This rooftop terrace bar offers dazzling panoramas to mesmerize diners--from the Sea of Cortes across the Bahia San Lucas and Land's End to the vast Pacific Ocean.
Unwinding couldn't be easier than it is at Sparitual, the spa at Cabo Villas Beach Resort. The professionals at Sparitual purge stress from your muscles by combining modern therapeutic skills with exotic ancient rituals. In one treatment, hot basaltic stones are placed on your back and tension simply melts away.
Don't leave Cabo San Lucas without visiting Puerto Paraiso Mall, the principal shopping complex in the city. A pleasant walk from Cabo Villas Beach Resort & Spa gets you to the mall, which is adjacent to the harbor. Be sure to check out the handcrafted goods at Casa del Artesano, one of the best specialty shops in the complex.
