Aweful

Our trip was originally booked to stay at the Riu Palace. After hurricane Matthew, we were notified that the Palace was closed due to damage. A representative then told me that Breezes was 100% functional. Upon our arrival, the rooms had no air conditioning, the 1 functioning elevator had no light, and the staff was incredibly rude. The trip was a surprise trip for a family member turning 65. She has previously had 2 heart attacks and literally had her life put in danger due to the deplorable conditions. We had to contact Caribbean.com and switch hotels but by then, it was too late, the vacation was ruined.

Breezes Bahama Vacation

The resort is just ok. Its an old resort so the rooms are mediocre and the beds are hard and uncomfortable. The bathrooms are clean but the showers are moldy. We attended the week after the hurricane so there was some limitations in the events and activities which could be expected. This was not unexpected and we understood those issues. we lost electricity two days for 5-6 hours so the air was off and it got hot and stuffy. But, there was no excuse for the poor service in the Asian restaurant as we walked out. there was a spider on the windowsill that the waiter just gave us a napkin to kill and didn't come back to pick it up for 10 minutes. There was also bugs in the rooms where the drinks were poured in the main dining area. The entertainment staff was the best and we enjoyed them a lot. In fact, this was the reason we returned to this same resort. Speaking of which, we were supposed to be invited to a repeat customer event but never received notification. Again, a disappointment. The check in staff was less than helpful and in no hurry. It appeared they didn't know what they were supposed to do and were not organized. it took over 30 minutes to check in which was unnecessary. We will probably not returned to this resort but certainly liked the Bahama islands.

Not "super" inclusive

We went for a week and honestly very disappointed. We expected a lot more to be included like snorkeling and different water sports . It was nice not to have to tip but we were not happy with what was suppose to be super inclusive . Only 1 pool bar but it closes early. Restaurants were not always open( only certain ones on certain days) . We were there during hurricane Matthew and only received compensation for 1 night when we should have received 3 nights because of the resort preparing for the hurricane and power being out . A lot of the same food is served at the buffet. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for an al inclusive vacation.

Average Resort

We arrived on Sunday and were given our room. The room was terrible. The front desk called just as I was going down to complain. I told them how disappointed I was there was no way I was staying in that room. The view was a dumpster, broken down truck and some dead palm trees. Not to mention the smell. Mold and some kind of chemical. They called back in a few minutes and quickly moved us to a much more suitable room. Room was 815 much better! The Piano Bar we could not go into it had the same smell of mold and chemicals to the point I felt sick ever time we walked thorough to get to the dining room. The food was mediocre but the service outstanding. The employees couldn't be more attentive. I think the buffet was limited in choices due to it being "off season" The pool was wonderful. We literally had it to ourselves most times. We did book a beach cabana for $50 never saw any waiter service. After 2 hours we left and went back to the pool they did refund me at checkout . If you are going to the shopping area get your wallet out. $25 can fee. Or you can take the bus for $1.50 The Ferry was like the SS minnow I wouldn't get on after I saw it. Take a taxi and spend the money. It was a restful and peaceful vacation. Would I go back to this resort? I doubt it.

Hotel Description

Breezes Bahamas: Cable Beach, Circus Fun and Climbing Wall

If Caribbean breezes are calling your name, answer them at Breezes Bahamas, a resort with Bahamian charm, three pools, a famous beach and an awesome circus trapeze that brings a touch of the unexpected to paradise.

This Breezes resort in the Bahamas is a Nassau gem thanks to Cable Beach, where the sugar-white sand and calm, azure waters satisfy your inner beach bum. Pull up a chaise lounge, take a deep breath and let the waves erase your cares. When you need a break from tanning, slip into one of three beautiful pools or a bubbling Jacuzzi. Between the main area, misting pool and "Sip and Dip" pool, there's one that suits your style.

Dinner keeps your taste buds partying when you choose the outside tables at Garden of Eden. Dig into an Adam's Rib or Eve's Secret to find a bit of themed culinary heaven. For lighter fare, the Main Dining Room features a casual buffet while the Pool Grill offers snacks under the palms.

Looking for high octane activity? Sign up for free windsurfing lessons or test your skills on the 30-foot climbing tower. There's also kayaking, sailing, tennis and basketball. For three-ring fun, take advantage of the free lessons at the resort's circus trapeze. Or, if activity after dark sounds fun, keep on swinging at the resort. Order a martini at the Piano Bar, or head to Hurricane Disco, where on Wednesdays the smell of roast pig and the beat of steel drums lure you to an unplugged evening of Caribbean fun. On Tuesdays, make sure you bring your best jammies, because the disco features a rockin' Pajama Party.

Breezes Bahamas makes a great base for exploring Nassau. Start with a close-up look at sharks and manta rays at The Atlantis Aquarium. Or go for a hike at the Queens Staircase, where the lush gardens and limestone stairs take you back to the 18th century. For the treasure hunter, Nassau's duty-free shops offer one-of-a-kind cultural crafts.

This hotel is All-Inclusive.
