Our Vacation
The location is near the airport, you hear alot of planes going in and out but that isn't a big deal. The beach in this area is PERFECT!!!! They advertise 3 restaurants which isn't true. THere is only 1. The food isn't good and is WAY WAY WAY WAY OVERPRICED. No good dining options even close. The hotels within walking distance down the beach have about the same menu at a little better price.
If you are going just for the beach, this place CAN NOT be beat. If you must have food options or if you want to be within walking distance of the shopping areas, this place ISN'T for you.
Cab ride to the shopping areas are about $7 per person each direction.
Also, the cab drivers are not reliable when you "reserve" them to meet you at a place and time. We were stood up twice by differennt drivers. A guy named Thomas that works out of the hotel left us stranded on the other side of the island for 2 hours.
This vacation was by far one of the best I have been on. I was traveling on a budget and found the accommodations to be more than excellent. The hotel was located very close to the airport and it was convenient. The beach was the most beautiful on the island. It was clean and quiet. I actually came back from this vacation pregnant and now have a beautiful 4 month old. I went in August of 2010. The staff does not wait on you hand and foot, however, for independent travelers that just want to be left alone - this spot was fantastic!!!!! I went to the local market, stocked on booze and munchies and enjoyed!!!! Very private beach especially at night.

for what it is
We enjoyed it for what is was!!!! the view from the room was awesome, but as far as a true resort its not!!!! its a great base camp if you will!!! not a place to say if you want to say at the hotel for your hole stay!!! clean but the staff could be more freindly!!!!! Liked it but wouldnt stay their again!!!
The Best Western Emerald Beach was great.The room was clean and the grounds beautiful.Our room was cleaned daily and the folks there very helpful.Would go this way again.the beach was clean and always kept up.Thank-you Cheap caribbean will travel with you again soon...

Room Information
90 beachfront guest rooms, all of which have a private balcony. All of the rooms here are of equal quality and feature newly tiled floors. Each room is equipped with hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and high-speed internet.
Great value for money property located on Lindbergh Bay which has an amazing beach and water. Many of the rooms are ocean front.
What We'd Change
The hotel is very close to the airport, but being parallel to the runway means there is not much noise.
Why You Should Go
This property enables you to stay in a perfectly good hotel and save a little money at the same time to spend in the duty free shops in town. Town is just 10 mins away. Families would enjoy this hotel.

The Emerald Beach Resort offers a shuttle into town ($), once a day, but public buses and inexpensive taxis stop just a quart-mile from the resort. The Best Western Emerald Beach Resort is convenient to fine dining, shopping and entertainment venues.

PALMS RESTAURANT - Relax and enjoy the spectacular beachfront view and savor the fine Continental Cuisine. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. West Indian Buffet on Friday nights from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. with live steel pan music. Sunday brunch with live music from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
BEACH BAR - Try the fabulous Bushwacker. Bartender Rolston makes the best tropical drinks on the island. Open daily for snacks, and has a full lunch and dinner menu.
