Be Live Grand Riviera Maya

The resort was pretty and very very clean. I was impressed with how much cleaning was taking place through out the day. The food and drinks were easily accessable with minimum dress codes (unlike other resorts). The location is also pretty good if you want to be away from the city but close enough if you want to head in and shop or something. Tulum is about 15 minutes by taxi and other bigger towns are within 30 mins. Now some of the complaints. First our fridge in the room was rarely stocked like it was suppose to be. The fridge also did not get cold and was barely cool. The "King" bed was actually 2 queen beds pushed together. This made for a huge bed with a Huge dip in the middle! When we arrived our room wasn't ready, luckily lunch was going on at the buffet and drinks were readily available. Finally activities on the resort were limited and things like the chipping range and tennis courts didn't appear to be maintained very well. Probably the least maintained things on the whole resort. Basically if you want to stay at this resort you have to take the good with the bad. If Cheap Caribbean has this resort offered at a low price again I would consider staying there one more time.

The beach and the pools were beautiful. The water and grounds were nice and kept up well.The staff was friendly, but slow at times. The rooms were nice. Only cons were the food- not too much variety at times and some food didn't agree with us and the drinks seemed watered down. Great vacation for the price though and a relaxing time. Had some entertaining shows at night. Good vacation for those looking for a quiet relaxing stay and to be away from other hotels.

We were hesitant before arriving at this resort due to some bad reviews. It was also our first trip to Mexico. The transfer to the resort took well over an hour but it was worth the wait. Our room was directly on the beach which was awesome. The staff was extremely friendly and we never waited long for any kind of service. We travelled in August which seemed like a quiet time. We would definitely go back to this resort.

We loved out stay at the Riviera Maya. The location was perfect-close to Tolum and not far from Playa del Carmen. The food was wonderful, very good quality and the dining room was very clean. We would have liked a more varied buffet. Restaurants were very good also. The beach and pool were amazing, loved the canopied beds!! We would definitely stay here again!
