More than expected

From check in to check out the service was superb. We were greeted and treated with great service and smiles. The food was fresh, colorful, healthy and delicious. Being our first all inclusive vacation, we really did not know what to expect. We were surprised with all of the drinks, food and maid service. We had a great room with palm trees and deck with privacy. We could walk to beach in 5 minutes. The trolley came by every 5 minutes too. We did not know about reserving the other 5 restaurants ahead of time so we missed out on a couple. The others were a treat. We like the Italian and fish restaurant the best. Our friends are diabetic and felt there should have been more food geared to diabetics. There were no sugar free items available. The cabana was an issue. There were not enough of them and we needed it because of sun burn problems. We had to get there by 7:30 am to find a shaded area. Would recommend this place with some tweaks.

Good Value

We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the Bavaro Princess. The grounds are beautiful, the staff could not have been nicer and more attentive to our needs. The room was nicely laid out and the staff kept it immaculate. We loved the beach, wonderful sand with no shells or rocks. I love the water, but do not get along with the sun. Between the nice palm "umbrellas" and my sunscreen, I was actually able to stay at the beach and pool from morning to evening. The food was good, but nothing special. The only drawback was that the primary restaurants and bars were open air (not air conditioned) and it did get uncomfortable eating meals. Overall, the Bavaro Princess was a good value, and I would recommend it to others.

WE DON'T RECOMEND THIS HOTEL AT ALL

The hotel is nice, and the food is average, but the staff is just terrible... Breakfast is average, on the poor side, every day its the same, the buffets are fair, but like every other. Dinner its the same poor experience. Now the restaurants....just bad. You have to wait about 45 minutes for a table and the food is supermarket type, all of them !!!. Now the drinks....you dont even get the cheap dominican licor, they use a brand of licor just for you... "Normandy" and they have everything under that brand . I guess its because you didn"t choose the Patinum deal and they make you feel it a every chance they get, you'll see. Now the STAFF.....all they want is to sell you something to a point that make you really uncomfortable and give you the look when you say no. Ther'e untrained and unprofesional, and they can ruin your vacation time with all the beggin'. Now the SHOWS ....just high school material, for real lol. One more thing, don't leave the hotel or you'll see the real DR, and belive me...you don"t want to see it, dirt poor and dangerous, to the point that the guides on the boogies (scam) rides have guns... As you can see we don't recomend this hotel but it's up to you. Just learn this few words in spanish "NO GRACIAS"....you will be using thea all day long....good luck
