**Veranda - Informal restaurant in the atrium lobby; serves breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets of International cuisine.
**Don Quijote - This specialty restaurant serves gourmet Spanish cuisine. Open for dinner only, six nights a week. Children must be at least 7 years old. Reservations are required. Dress code: Long pants for men.
**La Palapa - Serves both a la carte and buffet lunches.
**Caracol - Poolside restaurant serves snacks and features a poolside bar.
*Cascada Bar - Between the lobby and the pool.
*Swim-up bar - Open from mid-morning.

328 guestrooms and 8 suites. All have balconies or patios furnished with a table and two chairs. Most rooms have partial seaviews and all rooms provide air-conditioning, TVs, radios, dial-up Internet access (surcharge), telephones, minibars (restocked daily) and in-room safes (with refundable deposit). Bathrooms have tub/shower combinations and hair dryers.

Please note that the Barcelo Ixtapa does not accept children in the suite categories as they only have king beds.
