Barcelo Costa Cancun is a comfortable all-inclusive resort with beautiful Mediterranean styling and minimalistic design. It was built in 1994 and has been through various renovations since then, offering 358 completely remodeled rooms.

good getaway

All inclusive on the main road through the hotel district, nearer to town than the airport and on the same peninsula as one of the docks where you can get ferries to Isla Mujeres. The beach is clean, not crowded and there is good snorkeling around the rocks out in the water, which doesn't get a lot of waves because it is across the bay from Isla Mujeres. The rooms are not new but they are adequate and the bathroom has a shower big enough for you and your friends. The AC works, which is another big plus. There is one large pool with plenty of room for everybody. The all inclusive restaurants are adequate to good, for sure you won't go hungry. There is also internet access at the bar upstairs from the main lobby, and that is convenient. Because you are on Kukulkan Blvd, it is an easy, cheap bus ride into town for shopping and looking around and further south are the Ruinas del Rey which are interesting, and the small museum at the convention center.

It was nice. I've seen better and I have seen worse. We were expecting a king bed with an ocean view and got 2 queens and a pool view. Nice, but not what we planned on. Don't be surprised to see topless sunbathers all over the place. Not what we wanted while tryung to eat at the buffet.

and, oh that cerveche!

I went to Barcelo with two of my girlfriends and we had such an amazing time! We lucked out and believe that we got the best room in the place, considering we walked straight out to the amazing beach from our little deck! The food was great...especially the cerveche they served almost daily. It was filled with seafood! The selections of restaurants was perfect and exactly what we had hoped for. The service was excellent and everyone made us feel so welcome. The room was great too...very clean, although we did not spend much time there. We spend half our days at the beach and half our days at the pool. The pool always had activities going on that you could take part in if you chose. We are planning on going back again this spring and are SO looking forward to it. Fabulous place to kick back, relax and enjoy a good drink!

Loaction location loaction!!!

Barcelo Costa was perfect not only for the proximity to many Downtown locations but also markets and public transit. We had service above and beyond. The staff were expertly helpful when we had a personal problem and we can not thank them enough at customer service desk. The resturants both service and food were excellent, and the view beautiful. If you prefer a small intimate property with access to local events, then is is the perfect place.

358 fully equipped rooms with satellite TV, pay-per-view system, phone with voicemail, alarm clock, hair dryer, vanity mirror, A/C, ceiling fan, mini fridge restocked daily without extra cost, coffee maker, iron & ironing & safety deposit box (electricity 110 VL).

Cool, pale decor features white walls and ceilings, ivory-colored furniture, slate-colored tile floors with red-marble accents, pale-yellow bedspreads with terra-cotta-colored throw pillows, contemporary chrome floor lamps, and Mayan-inspired art on walls. Small bathrooms contain glassed-in stall showers (no tubs) and red-marble vanities. Ceiling fans offer a cooling alternative to rooms and studios' air-conditioning.

The newly renovated rooms at Barcelo Costa Cancun offer comfort, relaxation and great proximity to a wide white sandy beach. The beautiful spa on property offers a nice pampering alternative to the beach. While there is some nightlife close by, the center of Cancun nightlife is only a short cab ride away.

The pool is very active at Barcelo Costa Cancun but if you're looking for a spot that might be a little quieter the palapas on the beach offer a tranquil spot for napping or reading.

Cancun offers something for everyone. Barcelo Costa Cancun has the location and ambiance to compliment the destination nicely. The wide white sandy beach is inviting as is the refreshing pool.
