Great beach. Food is terrible

Beach was great. Water was great. But the food left much to be desired. Most of it was probably frozen, the menus didn't make sense, the "Mexican" food wasn't Mexican, the quality was poor, etc. It wasn't good. But the beach, staff, and service were all great. Just know that you're going for the beach, not the food.

Good first experience

Our experience on this trip was good. It was the first time we had traveled to Mexico. The service and the staff at the Aura were just terrific. Friendly, helpful, patient with our limited Spanish. They all spoke English...we just liked trying out our Spanish. The all inclusive was great for us and there were a variety of choices so we did not get tired of any single option. Biggest downside for us was the mosquitoes...we were not prepared for the intensity of the bugs, especially at dusk and when we went to the Mayan ruins. Biggest surprise for us...we had fun even when the winds came up and the torrential downpour occurred.

Beautiful Resort...not a lot to do

This resort was beautiful. The beaches were nice, the dining areas were well maintained. One disappointment I had with this resort was the lack of entertainment. It seemed like the place went to sleep at 9PM. For an adult-only resort, I expected to see some kind of entertainment...live music....dancing....something! If you are looking for a place to totally unwind and relax, this may be your place. If you're looking for some night life, I wouldn't recommend the Aura Cozumel. The food was excellent and the service was pretty good.

my dream vacation

This was the best Vacation of my life it was my Birthday and the staff and the resort was the best and the sweetest people I have ever seen on Vacation when my friend made plains for the night of my Birthday dinner it was so special and I was so suprize because the way the staff helped him and also they keeped me from finding out with a massage for my Birthday, what more would a couple ask for on a wonderful Vacation I really hated to leave all I can say is Thank you for a great time we loved every day we was there.

Each of the 87 hotel rooms is actually a suite. The smallest being a spectacular 750+ square feet. The largest suites are a sprawling 1,500 square feet. All boast an ocean view and have private furnished outdoor space, some even have a personal lap pool. Free Wi-fi, iPod docks, and flat screen HD TVs just make things a little nicer. In the bathroom, marble surfaces, walk-in showers, embroidered robes, and Gilchrest & Soames bath products bring the pampering to new heights. Many have lighted vanity mirrors and spa-style tubs. Most of our ground-floor suites overlook our signature Lazy River and even offer a swim-up feature. We know it's tempting not to, but do venture out of your suite and enjoy all that the property has to offer.

This is a little adults only oasis. A very hip, trendy property with chic decor and lots of amenities. The beach is wide, white and tranquil. I especially like the Hava Grill, lots of menu choices in a serene surroundings. The rooms are so nicely decorated you may just want to order room service so you don't have to leave. Of course there's a dive shop to help you plan your underwater excursions as well.

There is no spa facilities on property but there is one at the sister property next door.

Aura Cozumel offers just that...an aura of serenity in beautiful surroundings. This resort is a place you can go by yourself, with a significant other or a group of friends and indulge in tranquility.

Great burgers, BBQ ribs or the traditional Yucatan delicacy pork pibil tacos, just to name a few. For dinner everything goes a bit more upscale, with items such as Fillet Mignon, or even shrimp with banana flan and pineapple sauce.
BRISSAS BAR - Brissas translates to breezes, and that's just what you'll feel relaxing at the bar. It's high atop a buildings and boasting 2 jacuzzis for both soaking and sipping. Cold beer, signature cocktails such as Martini Melon or Martini Tangerine are yours to enjoy.
LUNA LOUNGE - The most elegant choice for a nightcap. It offers great views of the Caribbean and boasts intimate seating, friendly staff, and a full bar with premium liquors and signature cocktails such as a Don Julio Martini or an Island Mojito.
HAVA BAR - This one is right on the beach. And it's a great choice for a cocktail in the most casual setting. It's also the bar that has wait staff who can bring you a margarita poolside or even on our secluded beach.
