What I love about this resort:
It caters to families, but the property is spread out so that if need a break from the kids (This is a kids paradise) then you can find plenty of quiet areas. Great kids club too.
What I wish I could change:
Get lunch early at the snack restaurant buffet. It gets busy very early.

Everything you could want or expect from a Caribbean all-inclusive family resort can be found here at the Almond Beach Village. The resort set on a 19th-century sugar plantation, is huge, spreading out over 32 acres and has a whole mile of white sandy beach. The resort's 32 acres stretches along a beach lapped by the Caribbean Sea, with coral reef sections for snorkeling. Shaded hammocks, umbrellas, and lounge chairs are arrayed on the sand. Family and couples alike delight in the numerous activities, excursions, dining, nightlife, fun and relaxation available at the Village.

Almond Village offers guests exquisite swimming opportunities with 2 Jacuzzis, 10 freshwater pools, special children's pools, a north pool for guests 16 and older. Five tennis courts, a nine-hole golf course, squash courts, fitness center, and whirlpool are also available. Guest can even try their hand at a variety of watersports, including reef fishing, kayaking, aqua cycling, banana boating, snorkeling, sailing, water skiing, and windsurfing. Six restaurants, four bars (including a cocktail lounge and poolside bar), coffee shop, and nightclub are all on the premises. DINING / BARS:

HORIZONS - Open-air restaurant under peaked bleached-wood ceilings offering breakfast and lunch buffets daily. A la carte dinner menu available on most nights with choices that may include squid-shrimp salad, fried chicken-mushroom wrap, conch chowder, chilled cantaloupe soup with Amaretto and mint, roast lamb, braised duck, seared mahi mahi, and French onion tart. Caribbean buffet and Bajan cultural show on Saturday nights, beach barbecue on Wednesday nights. Afternoon English tea served every afternoon.
THE REEF RESTAURANT & BAR - Open-air seafront restaurant with white linens, bright-blue plastic chairs and bleached-wood ceilings serving breakfast buffet and fast-food lunch buffet daily. A la carte dinner menu featuring seafood, with choices such as smoked flying fish, ceviche, baked snapper, bluefin tuna, and flank steak. Dinner reservations are required. Dinner dress code: long pants and collared shirts for men.
LA SMARRITA - Grand, air-conditioned Northern Italian restaurant with mahogany trim and draped windows serving a la carte dinner nightly. Antipasta, soups, pasta, and main-course choices that may include duck with orange-honey sauce, steak, chicken, and fish. Reservations are required. Dress code: long pants and collared shirts for men. (Patrons must be age 16 or older.)
ENID'S - Colorful Bajan-style, open-air dinner restaurant serving local foods such as pepper-smoked fish, flying fish-and-cou cou. Reservations are required. Dress code: long pants and collared shirts for men.
BOARDWALK BAR & GRILL - Casual, open-air seafront spot open from Noon to 8 PM for tropical drinks. Burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and fish served Noon to 2 PM. (Hours subject to change).
