What I love about this resort:
It's for adults only and all-inclusive. I was impressed at the quality of the a la carte food in the restaurant.
What I wish I could change:
The birds! There are some black birds that have learned to fly through some of the open air restaurants targeting food that people have left on empty plates.

The Almond Beach Club is an adults-only (16 and over) All-Inclusive beach front resort located on the West Coast in St James. The resort is the perfect spot for honeymooners, or just friends and family looking to enjoy a luxurious Caribbean vacation. There are 161 guestrooms located in seven three- and four-story multicolored buildings that form a U-shape around a central pool-and-garden courtyard.

Almond Beach Club & Spa offers three freshwater swimming pools and a hot tub, surrounded by palm trees and lounge chairs, and overlooking the bright turquoise waters of the sea. These pools fit in perfectly with the hotel's manicured gardens and tropical landscaping. A courtyard with tall tropical plantings contains a large, two-level pool divided by a waterfall, an eight-person cool-water spa tub flowing into another pool, and a sunning lawn furnished with lounge chairs. A sand terrace and lawn provide sunbathing space. From the beach, guests enjoy numerous watersports. The Caribbean Sea washes up to coral-rock formations along the resort's 100-yard water frontage. Above the rocks, a sand terrace furnished with lounge chairs is shaded by trees in mornings, but sunny in afternoons.

For even more relaxation, enjoy various spa treatments under the hands of a trained masseuse or in the cleansing heat of a Swedish sauna. On-site boutiques sell clothing and souvenir, as well as toiletries, film, and other last-minute needs. A visitor-oriented shopping mall lies just across the street, with a West Indian-style open-air shopping village 400 yards away and another shopping mall 100 yards beyond that.

DINING / BARS:

The resort offers a variety of gourmet dining options, and guests can sample flavors ranging from spicy and Bajan to elegant and continental. Meals include sunrise coffee, a breakfast buffet, buffet and a la carte lunches and dinners, afternoon tea, and snacks. Room service is available for lunch and dinner. Two bars quench everyone's thirst. Bottled wines and champagne are also available for an additional fee.

SUNSET RESTAURANT - Open-air seating under conical wood roof with seaviews and linen service, offering buffet breakfast with omelet station, buffet and a la carte lunch with choices including burgers, sandwiches, salads, pasta, grilled fish, and chicken. Afternoon tea including finger sandwiches, scones, and pastries.
A LA CARTE - Continental-cuisine dinner service six nights weekly and a Friday night barbecue buffet. Nightly entertainment and Dance floor. Dinner dress code: long pants, collared shirts, and closed-toe shoes (no sneakers) for men.
ENID'S RESTAURANT - Second-story, air-conditioned Bajan (Barbadian) restaurant with multicolored wood decor under peaked ceiling, colorful linens, and wall paintings. Starters may include ackee and saltfish, and crab cakes. Soups may include fish and pickled pork with dumplings. Main courses may include Steamed Flying Fish with Green Banana Coo Coo, Fried Chicken with Brown-Sugar Gravy, Pork Chops with Plantain-Rum Sauce, Seafood Curry, Pumpkinseed-Crusted Lamb Chops, and Beef in Rum-Pepper Sauce. Open for dinner only and reservations are required. Dress code: long pants, collared shirts, and closed-toe shoes (no sneakers) for men.
WATERS EDGE - The resort's newest restaurant offering seafood fine dining that is open for dinner only.
Reservations are required.

TOMMY'S BAR - Casual, second-story, open-air spot featuring multicolored wood decor, pool table, board-game tables, serving sandwiches late morning to early evening.
PIANO BAR - Cozy, air-conditioned spot under two conical wood roofs serving singalongs, karaoke, and late-night snacks.
MAIN BAR - Located in the lobby.
